This is a pleasant woman in her early 50's diagnosed with left breast cancer. Her breast surgical oncologist felt it would be safe to perform a nipple-sparing mastectomy and the patient chose this cancer treatment. In her initial consultation with Dr. Albright, she expressed that she would like to reconstruct her left breast to match her right breast as closely as possible. Her goal was to avoid any surgery on the right breast. To achieve this patient's goals, Dr. Albright recommended a two-stage approach to allow more control and achieve a symmetric breast reconstruction result.
