Pendulous breasts with back pain treated with Breast Reduction in Houston, TX

This is a pleasant mother of 3 who presented with complaints of large, heavy breasts causing neck pain, upper back pain, shoulder pain, and tingling numbness in her upper extremities. She wore a 34 DDD cup brassiere. Bilateral reduction mammoplasty (breast reduction) was recommended to provide some relief for her chronic symptoms and to improve her quality of life. Breast reduction was performed using a Wise pattern (inverted-T in anchor-type incision) with inferior pedicle technique. Over 500 grams was removed from each breast. The patient healed without complication and expressed significant improvement in her neck and back pain at her 3.5 month postoperative follow-up visit.
